I bought a black pair from Leather Up this summer and have worn them everyday, even when not riding. So to keep from wearing them out I bought a brown pair. These boots are very low profile in the foot area making it very easy to shift. They have great traction with rubble soles and heels. They are also water resistant but I always put mink oil on my boots for added protection. The boots look great on. Got good comments right when I walked into work today.You might want to add a half size up. I measure at 9.5 but a 10 fits like a glove. The leather on the calves part is very soft. I sometime wear ankle socks on the way to the gym and never get rubbed raw. I love them!

Definitely order 1 size over normal. I wear a large everything, and based on reviews I got an XL, and the fit is perfect (5'11, 170lbs). The leather is heavy and seems durable; I'm sure it will really protect in a lay-down, but I have not and do not plan to prove it. My only complaint would be that there is not much to the liner, but my last jacket did not have one so I can't compare it to anything. Even with the nominal liner, the jacket has kept me warm in the am and the vents work great to keep air flow in the afternoon. The embossed eagle and motto on the back are sweet and look like they will last a very long time. I would recommend this jacket for the money any day.
